IV. Duration of Data Processing

The Romanian Association for the Defense of Athletes’ Rights, United Europe, will process your personal data only for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes of processing mentioned above.
Personal data for marketing purposes will be processed for the duration of your consent, i.e., until the date of its withdrawal.
If you withdraw your consent for data processing for marketing purposes, the Romanian Association for the Defense of Athletes’ Rights, United Europe, will cease processing your personal data for this purpose, without affecting the processing that occurred prior to the withdrawal of your consent.

IV. Durata pentru care vă prelucrăm datele

Asociația Română pentru Apărarea Drepturilor Sportivilor Europa Unită va prelucra datele dumneavoastră cu caracter personal doar atât cât este necesar pentru realizarea scopurilor de prelucrare menționate mai sus.
Datele personale in scop de marketing vor fi prelucrate pe perioada valabilitatii consimtamantului dumneavoastra, respectiv pana la data retragerii acestuia.
Dacă vă retrageți consimțământul pentru prelucrarea datelor în scop de marketing, Asociația Română pentru Apărarea Drepturilor Sportivilor Europa Unită va înceta prelucrarea datelor dumneavoastră cu caracter personal în acest scop, fără însă a afecta prelucrările desfășurate anterior pe baza consimțământului exprimat de către dumneavoastră înainte de retragerea acestuia.

V. Disclosure of Personal Data

For the fulfillment of the processing purposes, the Romanian Association for the Defense of Athletes’ Rights, United Europe, may disclose your personal data to partners or third parties who support our activities through the website (e.g., IT service providers), or to public authorities, in the following cases, as exemplified:

  • For managing the website;
  • For maintaining, personalizing, and improving the website and the services provided through it;
  • For conducting data analysis, testing and research, monitoring usage trends and activities, developing security features, and authenticating users;
  • For sending marketing communications, within the conditions and limits set by law;

  • Right to information: the right to receive details about the activities of processing your personal data, as described above.
  • Right of access to data: the right to obtain confirmation from the Romanian Association for the Defense of Athletes’ Rights, United Europe, regarding the processing of personal data, as well as details on the processing activities, such as how the data is processed, the purpose of the processing, the recipients or categories of recipients of the data, etc.
  • Right to rectification: the right to obtain the correction, without undue delay, of inaccurate or unjustified personal data, as well as the completion of incomplete data by the Romanian Association for the Defense of Athletes’ Rights, United Europe. Rectification/completion will be communicated to each recipient to whom the data has been transmitted, except when this is impossible or would involve disproportionate effort.
  • Right to erasure of data (“right to be forgotten”): the right to have your data erased without undue delay in the following cases:
    • When the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or processed;
    • When consent is withdrawn and there is no other legal basis for processing;
    • When the data subject objects to the processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for processing;

    • The processing is unlawful, and the data subject objects to the erasure of the personal data, requesting instead the restriction of their use;
    • The operator no longer needs the personal data for processing purposes, but the data subject requests it for the establishment, exercise, or defense of a legal claim;
    • The data subject has objected to the processing (other than for direct marketing), during the period while it is being verified whether the legitimate interests of the operator override those of the data subject.
  • Right to data portability: the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and the right to transmit this data to another data controller, provided that the legal conditions are met.
  • Right to object: regarding processing activities, which can be exercised by submitting a request as detailed below:
    • At any time, for reasons related to the particular situation of the individual, unless the Romanian Association for the Defense of Athletes’ Rights, United Europe, demonstrates that it has legitimate and compelling reasons for processing that override the interests, rights, and freedoms of the data subject, or that the processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defense of a legal claim;
    • At any time, free of charge and without justification, if your data is processed for direct marketing purposes, if you withdraw your consent.
  • Right not to be subject to automatic decision-making: the right not to be subjected to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning you or similarly affects you significantly.
  • Right to lodge a complaint with the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (B-dul General Gheorghe Magheru no. 28-30, Sector 1, Bucharest, postal code 010336, Tel: +40 318059211) and with the competent court for any violations of the way your personal data is used, if you deem necessary, after initially notifying the Romanian Association for the Defense of Athletes’ Rights, United Europe.

Considering the context and purposes of processing, the costs of implementation, and the risks associated with the categories of data processed, the Romanian Association for the Defense of Athletes’ Rights, United Europe, has implemented technical and organizational measures to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the personal data processed.

IX. Additional Information

If any of your data is incorrect, you have the obligation to inform the operator as soon as possible.
To exercise the rights mentioned above, you can address the Romanian Association for the Defense of Athletes’ Rights, United Europe, with a written, dated, and signed request at the email address: contact@arads.ro.
The Romanian Association for the Defense of Athletes’ Rights, United Europe, is obligated to respond to your requests without undue delay, within one month of receiving your request. This period may be extended by two months when necessary, considering the complexity and the number of requests.
Any information or request regarding the exercise of your rights concerning personal data is free of charge. If your requests are evidently unfounded or excessive, especially due to their repetitive nature, we, the Romanian Association for the Defense of Athletes’ Rights, United Europe, have the right to refuse to fulfill such requests or charge a reasonable fee based on administrative costs, and it is our responsibility to demonstrate that the request is evidently unfounded or excessive.
